| Title | Influenza delle caratteristiche dell'habitat sui macroinvertebrati lacustri: l'esempio del Lago di Viverone |
| Abstract | Combined analysis performed on Lake Viverone (Piedmont) linking the composition of the littoral macroinvertebrate fauna with the Benthic Quality index used for lake quality classification and some hydro-morphological parameters evaluated through the application of the Lake Habitat Survey is presented. Hydro-morphological parameters comprised the characteristics of the littoral and sub-littoral substratum type, the bank characteristics, and the anthropic impacts along the shore. The lake was sampled during water mixing (spring) and stratifìcation (autumn) with a grab in soft sediment, according to the national standardized protocol in the littoral, sublittoral and profundal areas, but here an in-depth description of the littoral area is provided. Canonical Correlation Analysis to evaluate the effects of anthropic pressures on the littoral benthic community was applied. According to the described numerical analysis, ii) macroinvertebrates composition and sampling stations can be classified in three principal groups, according to seasonality and anthropic impacts; ii) correlations between the Benthic Quality index and the hydromorphological variables were high. Jt's clear that to better understand the rea! effects of hydro-morphology on macroinvertebrates distribution and composition, it is necessary to expand the number of sampling sites along the coast to verify the robustness of our hypothesis. |

Si presenta un analisi integrata di informazioni idro morfologiche e caratteristiche della comunita litorale a macroinvertebrati del Lago di Viverone Piemonte . Il lago e stato campionato secondo metodiche standard nazionali tramite draga e campionamento su fondi molli durante la circolazione e la stratificazione delle acque, nelle fasce litorale, sublitorale e profonda, analizzando nel dettaglio i dati relativi alla fascia litorale. Tramite analisi multivariata si sono cercate possibili relazioni tra parametri idro morfologici, raccolti tramite applicazione del Lake Habitat Survey, con la fauna macroinvertebrata e con l indice di Qualita Bentonico, calcolato per valutare lo stato ecologico del lago. I dati raccolti sono stati analizzati per valutare se le pressioni antropiche presenti lungo la costa potessero influenzare la distribuzione della comunita bentonica. Sono stati inoltre raccolti dati relativi alla chimica delle acque per descriverne lo stato trofico. Secondo quanto emerso dalle analisi effettuate i la fauna e le stazioni di campionamento si separano in tre gruppi fortemente correlati con la presenza/assenza di antropizzazione della zona litorale e la stagionalita; ii si notano inoltre delle correlazioni tra l indice BQIES e le variabili idro morfologiche analizzate.
