Il progetto che coinvolge il CNR-IRSA come project partner, mira a sviluppare un modello di governance innovativo per la gestione del rischio alluvionale nei bacini idrografici del Mediterraneo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L\u2019evento ha rappresentato un\u2019importante occasione di confronto tra esperti, amministratori locali, accademici e settore privato, con l\u2019obiettivo di individuare soluzioni efficaci per prevenire e gestire le alluvioni improvvise, un fenomeno sempre pi\u00f9 frequente e devastante nelle regioni mediterranee.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La giornata si \u00e8 aperta con la presentazione del progetto LocAll4Flood, che ha illustrato come un approccio multi-stakeholder possa contribuire alla gestione del rischio idrogeologico attraverso azioni coordinate di prevenzione, adattamento e mitigazione.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Il programma ha previsto interventi tecnici di grande rilievo, affrontando temi chiave come i principi di gestione del rischio alluvionale in relazione alla direttiva UE, l\u2019importanza dei sistemi di allerta precoce e la loro applicazione concreta nella citt\u00e0 di Bari.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Particolarmente coinvolgente \u00e8 stato l\u2019esercizio partecipativo sulla prevenzione delle alluvioni improvvise, durante il quale i partecipanti hanno avuto l\u2019opportunit\u00e0 di testare strategie pratiche di risposta agli eventi estremi e dal quale sono emersi spunti interessanti. Si \u00e8 sottolineata la necessit\u00e0 di strumenti avanzati di previsione per individuare le aree critiche e proteggere infrastrutture strategiche. \u00c8 stata evidenziata l\u2019urgenza di una mappatura dettagliata delle zone ad alto rischio e di strumenti efficaci per allertare la popolazione. Un altro aspetto cruciale \u00e8 stato il coinvolgimento delle amministrazioni locali, che spesso devono affrontare queste sfide con risorse limitate e facendo fronte alla frammentazione delle competenze.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Il workshop LocAll4Flood ha rappresentato un momento di approfondimento e confronto essenziale per migliorare le strategie di gestione del rischio idrogeologico. Rafforzare la collaborazione tra enti locali, cittadini e istituzioni \u00e8 una priorit\u00e0, cos\u00ec come investire in strumenti di allerta efficienti e promuovere una governance pi\u00f9 unificata. This initiative, funded by the Interreg Euro-MED program, aims to develop an innovative governance model for flood risk management in Mediterranean river basins.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event provided a valuable opportunity for experts, local administrators, academics, and the private sector to exchange ideas and identify effective solutions for preventing and managing flash floods, a phenomenon that is becoming increasingly frequent and devastating in Mediterranean regions. The day began with the presentation of the LocAll4Flood project, which highlighted how a multi-stakeholder approach can contribute to hydrogeological risk management through coordinated actions in prevention, adaptation, and mitigation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The workshop featured key technical presentations on essential topics such as flood risk management principles in line with EU directives, the importance of early warning systems, and their practical application in the city of Bari. One of the most engaging moments was the interactive exercise on flash flood prevention, where participants had the opportunity to test practical response strategies to extreme weather events. This session provided valuable insights, reinforcing the need for advanced forecasting tools to identify critical areas and protect strategic infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Discussions underscored the urgency of developing a detailed mapping of high-risk zones and implementing effective tools to alert the population. Another crucial issue highlighted was the involvement of local administrations, which often face these challenges with limited resources and struggle with fragmented competencies. The workshop emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration between local authorities, institutions, and citizens to enhance flood risk management strategies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The final session brought valuable takeaways. While mitigation measures were considered more effective than adaptation strategies, they require immediate investment. Adaptation strategies, on the other hand, need a longer time to become fully effective, making their urgent implementation a priority.
