In collaborazione con i ricercatori del CNR IRSA, il Il Dr. Kamalanathan sta svolgendo ricerche sui meccanismi biochimici che possono influenzare la produzione di gas, in particolare metano, nelle acque del Lago Maggiore, sito di ricerca a lungo termine della Rete LTER.
