Il 16 ed il 17 gennaio si \u00e8 tenuto ad Atene la seconda Assemblea Generale del progetto BIOTRAILS \u2018Nexus framework for biodiversity-relevant transformative change\u2019, (finanziato nell\u2019ambito di Horizon Europe, Grant agreement n. 101082008), coordinato da Raffaele Giordano dell\u2019IRSA CNR, sezione di Bari.<\/p>\n

Il progetto BIOTRAILS si propone di ispirare e accelerare processi per la transizione sostenibile delle value chain in quattro casi studio (attivit\u00e0 estrattive in Ghana, produzioni manifatturiere basate sulla foresta Amazzonica del Brasile, produzione di cacao in Peru e acquacoltura e pesca nel bacino del Mediterraneo) riducendone l\u2019impatto in termini di perdita di biodiversit\u00e0.<\/p>\n

L\u2019evento, della durata di un giorno e mezzo, ha riunito i rappresentanti degli 11 partner provenienti da nove nazioni con l\u2019obiettivo di fare il punto sulle attivit\u00e0 del primo anno, condividere i primi risultati e aggiornare la tabella di marcia al fine di orientare strategie e ottimizzare il raggiungimento degli obiettivi del progetto. L\u2019evento ha ospitato anche una sessione virtuale interattiva con i coordinatori di progetti europei \u201cgemelli\u201d al fine di definire sinergie e azioni comuni. La discussione \u00e8, infine, stata arricchita dal contributo del prof. Michael Christie, professore di Economia Ambientale ed Ecologica presso la Aberystwyth University e co-chair del Panel dell\u2019IPBES su Values Assessment.<\/p>\n

L\u2019evento \u00e8 stato organizzato grazie alla collaborazione di Katherina Lytra (Hapo) e con il sostegno dei membri del partner locale dell\u2019Universit\u00e0 Harokopio di Atene.<\/p>\n
